What are slutty brownies?
While Slutty Brownies have a bit of a questionable name, they are a decadent dessert that combines layers of cookie dough, Oreo cookies, and rich, fudgy homemade brownie batter. They gained popularity online a few years back and were dubbed "slutty" due to their indulgent and over-the-top nature.
It's like getting three desserts in one, and they're perfect for satisfying those indecisive moments when you can't choose between chocolate chip cookies, oreos and gooey chocolate brownies.

Just press it into the pan, layer on the Oreos, and pour over the brownie batter. Pop it in the oven, and in less than an hour, you'll have a pan of irresistible, over-the-top brownies that will knock your socks off.

Equipment
Slutty Brownies are typically made in a 9x9 inch baking dish, which is the perfect size for creating thick, indulgent brownies. When choosing a pan for this recipe, it's important to use one that is sturdy and has a non-stick surface to prevent the brownies from sticking. Glass or metal pans both work well for baking brownies, but make sure to adjust the baking time accordingly based on the material of your pan.
While this recipe can be mixed by hand using a spatula or wooden spoon, using a stand mixer or handheld electric mixer can speed up the process and make it easier to achieve a smooth and well-combined batter. Mixing the ingredients thoroughly is key to ensuring that each layer of the brownies is evenly distributed and bakes up perfectly.
Storage
Once cooled, you can cover the brownie pan with plastic wrap or aluminum foil and store at room temperature for up to 3 days. For longer storage, you can refrigerate the brownies in an airtight container for up to a week. If you prefer to freeze them, wrap individual brownies in plastic wrap and place them in a freezer-safe container. They can be frozen for up to 3 months. When ready to enjoy, simply thaw them at room temperature or reheat them in the microwave for a few seconds for a warm, gooey treat.
Top Baking Tips
- Bring your butter and eggs to room temperature for easier mixing and a smoother batter.
- Use parchment paper to line the baking pan for easy removal of the brownies.
- Press the chocolate chip cookie dough firmly into the bottom of the pan to create a solid base.
- Place the Oreo cookies in a single layer on top of the cookie dough, evenly spacing them for uniform distribution.
- Carefully spread the brownie batter over the Oreos, ensuring it covers them completely.
- Don't over-mix the brownie batter. Mix until just combined to avoid a tough texture.
- Brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs, not wet batter.
- This is the hardest part! Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares for clean slices.
