I love grabbing takeout as much as anybody but cooking at home is a great way to save money, control portion sizes and get exactly what I want when I want it.
Asian Cauliflower Rice Shrimp Bowls, Mongolian Chicken Stir Fry and Scallop Fried Rice are some of my favorite Asian recipes to make at home. No one wants to miss out on the Wonton Soup or the crispy egg rolls, so I've learned how to make my own egg rolls at home too!
I've purchased store bought egg rolls before and baked them in the oven. Honestly, the results were hit or miss, but cooking them in the air fryer has been a total game changer.

Plus, egg rolls make a quick snack, perfect appetizer or great side dish. Cook up a few for a quick lunch or an easy meal the whole family will love. Dipping Sauces for Air Fryer Egg Rolls
You can use homemade or store bought dipping sauces. Look for orange sauce or duck sauce, sweet and sour sauce, Thai sweet chili sauce, plum sauce, soy sauce, Yum Yum or your favorite dipping sauce in the Asian section of your local store. If you prefer, these homemade sauces are some of my favorites:
- Homemade Bang Bang Sauce
- Egg Roll Dipping Sauce from Buns In My Oven
- Homemade Duck Sauce from Simple Seasonal
Air Fryer – Many different brands, sizes and styles of air fryers are available. Here is a guide to some of the best air fryers according to food experts. Air fryer frozen egg rolls are best served right away, so I usually only prepare what I know we will eat. If you have leftover egg rolls, they can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. Reheat in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.
Once you have cooked the egg rolls, I don't recommend refreezing them.
