The ingredients for holiday punch with alcohol.

    Ingredients

    • Oranges – Fresh oranges are in season and flavorful in the winter months. You can use your favorite variety of orange.
    • Cranberries – Fresh cranberries will float making a beautiful garnish.
    • Cranberry Juice Cocktail – Cranberry juice cocktail is usually sweetened while cranberry juice made with 100% juice relys on apple juice and grape juice to provide sweetness. You can use whichever you prefer.
    • Vodka – You don't have to choose an expensive vodka but it should be one you enjoy drinking.
    • Lemonade – Homemade or bottled lemonade will be tasty.
    • Ginger Ale – For a little added sweetness and some bubbles.
    • Ice – This cocktail is best enjoyed cold.

    See recipe card for quantities.

    Instructions

    1. Slice the oranges and rinse the cranberries. Put both into a punch bowl or pitcher.
    2. Add the remaining ingredients and stir it to combine! Add ice and serve.

Hint: This holiday vodka punch is best enjoyed well chilled. Chill all of the ingredients well in advance for easy preparation.

    Variations/ Substitutions

    • Make in a Pitcher – This holiday vodka cocktail looks beautiful in a glass punch bowl but you can make this punch in a pitcher for easy serving or for easier advanced prep.
    • Change the Flavor – Swap in your favorite juice or use lemon lime soda, sparkling cider or ginger beer for a fun twist on the flavor.
    • Add More Fruit – Slice lemons, limes or grapefruit and toss in fresh raspberries.
    • Add Fresh Herbs – Sprigs of fresh herbs such as rosemary, mint or thyme are beautiful and add great flavor.
    • Low Sugar – Select low/sugar free juices and soda to make this cocktail.
    • Mocktail – Simply skip the vodka for a non-alcoholic party drink that everyone can enjoy.
    • Mulled Christmas Punch – Add all of the ingredients to a saucepan and warm through. Stir in ¼ teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice before serving.

    Storage

Prepare the cranberry ginger ale punch up to 12 hours in advance. Store in the fridge and add the ginger ale just before serving.

Leftover punch can be stored in the fridge for a day or two but the ginger ale will lose its dizziness.
