Frozen yogurt bites with blueberries, strawberries and granola on a small plate.

I always get a little sweet tooth, especially in the afternoons when I need a pick-me-up. But instead of reaching for something loaded with sugar, I try to choose wisely when it comes to treats. The best way to set myself up for success? Keeping healthy snacks on hand that satisfy my cravings without the sugar crash. Having a sweet treat ready to grab makes all the difference, and it helps me stay on track without feeling deprived.

That’s why I love these little frozen yogurt bites—they’re just the right amount of sweet without being over the top. The creamy yogurt pairs perfectly with fresh fruit, and the granola adds a little crunch to keep things interesting. They feel like a treat, but they’re packed with protein and natural goodness, so I can enjoy them without second-guessing my choices. Plus, they’re stored in the freezer, which means they’re always there when I need a quick, refreshing snack!

    Ingredients

Ingredients needed to make frozen yogurt snack.
    • Greek Vanilla Yogurt – Choose a low-fat or full-fat Greek yogurt for a creamy texture and extra protein. If you prefer less sugar, go for plain greek yogurt and add a dash of vanilla extract.
    • Blueberries – Fresh blueberries will have the best taste and texture.
    • Strawberries – Slice the strawberries for easier layering. Look for bright red, firm berries for the best flavor.
    • Granola – Pick a granola with minimal added sugar and a good crunch. Avoid overly large clusters so they sprinkle evenly over the yogurt.

    See recipe card for quantities.

How to Make Frozen Yogurt Bites

Dollops of frozen yogurt on a baking sheet.
    1. Step 1: Drop 2-3 tablespoon dollops of yogurt mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
Dollops of yogurt topped with fruit on a baking sheet.
    1. Step 2: Layer blueberries and strawberries on top of the yogurt and sprinkle with granola. Freeze for 4 hours.

Hint: Covering the baking sheet with parchment paper makes it easy to remove the frozen yogurt clusters after freezing.

    More Yougurt Bite Topping Ideas

    • Fruit – Fresh raspberries or sliced bananas can be added to the yogurt. You can also used dried fruit like coconut, raisins or dried cranberries.
    • Chopped Nuts – Almonds, pecans, or walnuts add crunch and healthy fats.
    • Dark Chocolate or Cacoa – Drizzle with melted chocolate. Dark chocolate chips add a little indulgence without too much added sugar while cacoa nibs are a less sweet alternative to chocolate chips with a rich, deep flavor.
    • Seeds – Chia seeds add a boost of fiber and omega-3s with a slight crunch. While pumpkin or sunflower seeds provide nut-free option with a satisfying crunch.
    • Sprinkles – Fun for kids (or adults!) who want a pop of color.

    Storage

Once the yogurt bites are fully frozen, transfer them to an airtight container or freezer bag to keep them fresh. Store them in the freezer for up to two weeks. For the best texture, let them sit at room temperature for a minute or two before eating—this softens them just enough to make each bite extra creamy!

    Top Tips

    • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and make it easy to remove the bites once frozen.
    • Chop larger fruit like strawberries into smaller pieces so each bite has a little bit of everything.
    • Don’t overload the yogurt with too many toppings.
    • Let them freeze for at least four hours to ensure they hold their shape.

    FAQ

Can I make yogurt bites with frozen fruit?

If using frozen fruit, work quickly to prevent the fruit from thawing. Frozen fruit becomes mushy and watery when it thaws.

Can I make these vegan or dairy-free?

Absolutely! Use a dairy-free yogurt like coconut, almond, or cashew-based options.

Should I thaw frozen yogurt bites before eating?

These are meant to be eaten frozen, but letting them sit at room temperature for a minute or two makes them creamier and easier to bite into.
