    Fun Fondue

First Published: March 15, 2009 . Last Modified: October 1, 2021 lisa39 Comments This post may contain affiliate links

At our house, we like to have family night at least once every few weeks. Sometimes we rent a movie and the best part is that the kids get to eat dinner in the living room. I usually throw a table cloth over the coffee table and here we have the perfect fondue set up. Last week, we decided to do dessert fondue. My kids love this and it is the perfect way to get in some extra servings of fruit.

I usually make very uncomplicated fondue. It consists of chocolate and heavy cream. You can add different flavorings such as vanilla extract, mint extract or almond extract. There are so many dippers to use. Our favorites are marshmallows, bananas, strawberries, pretzels, apples and pound cake.

Check out these two cute smiling faces. See what a little fondue can do? Believe me, the adults were smiling too! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

    Milk Chocolate Fondue

12 ounce bag of milk chocolate chips
    ⅓ cup of heavy cream

Combine ingredients in a fondue pot or chafing dish. Stir over low heat until chocolate is smooth and creamy. Serve with assorted dippers.

I know this is going to sound terrible, but I've never had fondue. I know I need to break that saying and have some. Your little girl looks just like you and your son is too cute!

We've done this before and everyone LOVED it. We also had pound cake cut into squares. There's just something fun about having all those choices and then the creamy chocolate to dip...yum.

Lisa, this looks like so much fun! The kids are obviously having a great time. We usually do savory fondue but as soon as I'm five pounds underweight we'll switch to sweet.

This looks like so much fun! I love fondue (savory or sweet) but we don't make it that often since hubby is not a fan and the kids are a little too young to really participate. I can't wait until they are old enough for fondue family night, what a great idea 🙂

Love fondue and often debate if I like sweet or savory better. My favorite sweet one is Nutella that is heated up. Couldn't be easier.
