Hello. Can I interest you in some good eats from Ocean City, NJ? Our family has always spent our vacations in Ocean City NJ. Since I was there this summer (2020) I decided to up date this post with some of our favorite food bites.
Normally I like to give shout outs to all the food I get in south jersey and Philadelphia but we are on vacation this week and there will be plenty of good eating. Nothing tastes better than the food on the boardwalk. Pizza is everywhere and it is BIG pizza. How's this for a slice? This is from Three Brothers in Ocean City, NJ.
We like these big slices but also love the boardwalk pie at Manco and Manco's. I think everyone goes to Ocean City for this pizza!
There is nothing like custard at the Jersey shore. Have you ever had Kohr Brothers? You need to have some just like this kid of mine does. He is intensely eating his ice cream cone.
We like lots of ice cream places in Ocean City, NJ and hear are some other favorites:
Kessel's Korner (ice cream plus breakfast, lunch and dinner)
Georges (great candy and souvenirs too)
My last homemade ice cream was from Georges and it was really delicious!
Ocean City also has Dole Whip! When I found out I could get this from another place besides Disney, I was really excited. Aloha Soft Serve has two locations on the boardwalk. I tried all 4 flavors but the Pineapple Dole whip is my absolute favorite.
How about some chocolate covered bacon? I tried some at Laura's Fudge Shop and wasn't sure what to expect but it was pretty good. I liked the sweet and salty combination. I really go there for the chocolate covered strawberries and the fudge is great too.
Salt water taffy is another great treat at the NJ shore. My favorite is Shrivers as they have individual pieces you can buy by the pound and I like to pick my own flavors rather than buy it by the pound in the box.
Don't forget the boardwalk fries! Jilly's French Fry Factory is a place to get fried goodness. They also have funnel cakes, homemade potato chip sticks, other fried goodies, lemonade and ice cream too.
And here are two cool kids I found on the boardwalk. Wish they could stay young forever! But now I'm happy when they will at least agree to have some pizza or ice cream with their parents at the NJ shore. Or maybe even watch a gorgeous sunset at the NJ shore.

The Jersey Shore.. I fell in love with it! Every single summer was spent in Wildwood as a kid (with occasional trips to Ocean City, Cape May, Atlantic City) so this made made me smile and remember such good times. I've been wanting to take my husband to the Jersey Shore, especially the boardwalk as I have such fond memories of that place and would love to share it. Great post, thanks!

Wow! I crave Pizza from NJ..I have not been to the Jersey Shore in years! My husband and I moved to Florida when we were just married. 30 years ago. We try to explain to our kids what the boardwalk is like there is no such thing here. They love pizza but have never really had good pizza! I miss being a Jersey girl!
