It’s the first day of summer! Woohoo! Strawberries were on sale this week so it looks like I will need to make a strawberry mojito tonight. I have plenty of mint growing in my garden. I actually haven’t planted anything this year except weeds. But mint just grows and grows. So I’ll take it and the mojitos will be plentiful all summer.
This past Tuesday was my kids last day of school for the summer. My son celebrated his last day of elementary school by having a waffle sundae, minus the ice cream for breakfast. He also got his cool mohawk haircut for the summer. It’s not summer until there is a mohawk in our house!
We tried a new breakfast/ lunch place that opened up in our neighborhood recently. The Turning Point in Marlton, NJ is a great little place and everything was so fresh. I loved the French press coffee that you could order . It came with this cute cow milk pitcher and an awesome sugar stick.
I don’t think I showed you this but my sister in law was married a few months ago and this is the adorable candy buffet that my other sister in law put together for the wedding. It was a Breakfast At Tiffany’s theme and so cute. My kids loved it too!
Now that it is summer I just crave seafood. Today I saw this shrimp salad on Aggie’s Kitchen and I have to make it very soon. I might even buy already cooked shrimp to make a great no cook meal. The pictures are just making me drool.
