Over Hard Eggs

Learn to make a perfectly fried over hard egg with no runny yolks.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon unsalted butter or olive oil
  • 1 large egg
  • salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • Heat a non-stick or cast iron pan over medium heat. Add butter or oil to pan and swirl to coat.
  • When the butter or oil begins to bubble, crack egg and add to the pan. Cook for about 3 minutes or until egg whites and yolk are set and edges of the whites are crispy. Carefully flip with a spatula and cook for a few more minutes or until yolk is no longer runny.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

Use a small pan for one or two eggs. Recipe can make as many can fit in a larger larger pan. To cook more than 2 eggs at once use 1 tablespoon of butter or oil for the whole large pan.
