- 10 cups mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Lucky Charms cereal
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
- non stick cooking spray
Slice your stick of butter and combine it with 8 cups of marshmallows (reserve 2 cups) in a large microwavable bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes and stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
Add the remaining 2 cups of marshmallows and 5 cups of Lucky Charms cereal (reserve 1 cup of Luck charms.) Gently fold together until the cereal is covered with the marshmallow mixture.
Spray a 9x13 cake pan with nonstick cooking spray. Add the cereal mixture to the pan and gently spread evenly to fill the pan. Sprinkle the remaining one cup of cereal over the top and lightly press to make sure it sticks to the top.
Let the pan rest for one hour. Slice into squares.
Recipe Tips:
- If you want super thick rice krispie treats, double the recipe or use an 8x8 pan, except for the cup of cereal on the top. That will remain the same, unless you want less.
- Don’t press the mixture down into the pan too hard or you’ll make the treats tough. They’ll pack really tight making them tough and hard to cut. Pack them down lightly!
- Store tightly wrapped with plastic wrap for up to two days. Treats are best the day made or the very next day.
