Kamikaze Shots

This classic kamikaze shot recipe hits that perfect balance of citrusy, slightly sweet, and just strong enough to feel like a proper party drink.

Ingredients

  • 6 Ounces Vodka
  • 2 Ounces Triple Sec
  • sweetened Lime Juice start with ½ ounce

Instructions

  • Add ice to a shaker then the vodka, triple sec and lime juice. Gently shake for a few seconds.
  • Pour into shot glasses and garnish with a piece of fresh lime, if desired.

Notes

Use more or less sweetened lime juice if desired.
Regular lime juice can also be used for less sweetness or use sour mix for a sweeter drink.
Also the rims of the shot glass can be lined with sugar if desired.  Just moisten the outer edge with a lime wedge or water, then dip or roll the rim into a shallow plate of sugar.
For a blue kamikaze shot, replace the triple sec with Blue Curaçao, giving the shot a vibrant blue color.
Your favorite liquor can also be replaced for the triple sec. Try melon, raspberry or  orange liquor.
Try your favorite flavored vodkas for a fruitier shot. I like raspberry and cranberry vodka for a new twist.
