Ingredients

  • 6 ears fresh corn
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • butter and/or extra seasonings for corn optional

Instructions

  • Shuck corn and make sure sll silk is removed. Set aside.
  • Fill a large pot ⅔ of the way with water. Turn heat to medium high , and bring to a boil.
  • Add the cleaned corn, milk and salt to the water. Turn heat to medium and let it simmer for 8 to 10 minutes depending how done you like it.
  • Turn the heat off and remove the corn when you are ready to serve it.
  • Serve with butter, extra salt or your favorite seasonings.

Notes

You can also cook the corn less (5 minutes) then let it sit in the water for up to an hour. This is a great way to make in advance.
