Bacon and Cheese Wrapped Pierogi Appetizers

Everyone will love this hearty bacon pierogi appetizer!

Ingredients

  • 12 slices bacon
  • 12 large frozen pierogi
  • 4 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
  • sour cream for serving

Instructions

  • Partially cook the bacon in a large frying pan on medium heat for a few minutes but not crisp. Remove from pan onto paper towels to let cool.
  • Add pierogi to pan and saute in bacon grease on low heat for about 5 to 7 minutes turning occasionally. Remove from pan and let cool. Do in batches if necessary.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Wrap the bacon around each pierogi and place on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and sprinkle cheese on each pierogi. Bake for another few minutes or until cheese melts.
  • Serve with sour cream for dipping.

Notes

Secure with toothpick or skewer to make this pierogi appetizer easy to serve and eat.
