Air Fryer Roasted Tomatoes

Equipment

  • basket air fryer

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
  • optional: fresh herbs, balsamic glaze

Instructions

  • Wash the tomatoes, remove any stems and cut them in half on a cutting board.
  • Place the tomatoes in a bowl along with the olive oil, salt, pepper amnd garlic. Gently mix until the tomatoes are well coated.
  • Transfer the tomatoes to the air fryer basket skin side down. Set the oven on 400 degrees F. Cook for 15 to 20 minutes depending on how done you like your toimatoes. The longer they cook the more dry and browned they will be.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs or balsamic glaze and serve or store for later use.

Notes

Note: A basket air fryer is needed for smaller tomatoes. If you have a large air fryer with racks, larger size plum tomatoes will work better. Cook about 3 to  5 minutes longer.
