    The South Philly Pork Sandwich

First Published: March 30, 2011 . Last Modified: October 1, 2021 lisa14 Comments This post may contain affiliate links

Philadelphia is known for their cheese steaks but you can also get a mean pork sandwich too. If you go into South Philly for a pork sandwich expect it to be served with broccoli rabe. Can you tell I'm on a broccoli rabe kick? If you don't live near Philadelphia, you can always make your own. How good does this look? If a sandwich is not your style, you can always serve it deconstructed. What do you think about this?

Click on the links below to find how to make each part of the recipe. Don't forget the napkins!

    South Philly Pork Sandwich

    A nice big hoagie/sub Roll
    provolone cheese
    Crockpot Porchetta
    Roasted Red peppers
    Sauteed Broccoli Rabe

Slice open a nice big roll and put a few slices of provolone cheese on it. Top it with the heated pork, roasted red peppers and broccoli rabe. Makes one nice big sandwich!

Hmmm I always associate pork sandwiches with the south. But they certainly don't have broccoli rabe on them there!
