This is going to be a quick post as Busch Garden's has me exhausted and I am looking forward to my nice fluffy bed. We are going out to breakfast tomorrow morning so I have breakfast on my mind. I just finished a vanilla shake and you think I wouldn't be thinking about what I will be eating next. But that's just me. Last week, I made this great breakfast sandwich. I purchased some whole wheat croissants from my grocery store. They were outstanding. I thought I'd add some avocados and skip the bacon to make this healthy breakfast sandwich.
California Breakfast Sandwich
I hope you're having fun on your vacay! You're crazy for blogging, take a break lady! This little croisandwhich looks great!
What a perfect breakfast sandwich. There is something so wonderful about a croissaint. Enjoy your vacation!
Wholewheat Croissants are really hard to come by in the UK - at least in Cornwall! Looks like a delish breakfast. Glad you're enjoying yourselves - you'll need another holiday to get over this one by the sounds of it!!
Since you are in the Williamsburg area there is a great family restaurant in Lightfoot not that far north from where you are. It is called Welcome South. You might want to try it. I've been going there years and the food has never disappointed. Have a great vacation!
Lisa you sure know how to treat yourself for breakfast! Keep enjoying the vacation!
Apples and Butter
Whole wheat croissants? Who knew! I will definitely have to track some down the next time I'm at the store!
This looks delicious. I have never seen whole wheat croissants.
I have never seen a whole wheat croissant - yum!! I love egg sandwiches, this looks sooooo good. Love your healthy addition of avocado!
That looks delicious!
What a great fun vacation and a yummy sandwich with avocado looks like it would be an ideal way to start the day.
Lisa that is right up my alley. I love that type of sandwich. I need to start baking with whole wheat flour soon.
Have a good rest of vacation...savour it, as much as you can.
Ohhh, yeah. That's like food porn. I love croissants.
And avocados! I could eat them like an apple.
That looks like an excellent breakfast sandwich.
I hope you're enjoying your vacation, but I'm at a loss to know why you're still blogging. 🙂
Croissants make the best breakfast sandwiches ever 🙂 I really dig the avocado in there, it must add a nice creaminess.
Hope Busch Gardens was fun!
I enjoy your blog. Maybe there is something on my recipe blog that you might like. Hope you will visit.
I have never heard of nor seen whole wheat croissaints. YUM! I'm sure they're butter free, too, right! 🙂
The sammie looks so good!
Great sandwich! I've never had whole wheat croissants before, but now I'll be keeping an eye out for them!
Love Busch Gardens!!!!
I have some avocados - that sounds delicoius!
I would eat one of those lovely sandwiches any day of the week, fabulous!
p.s I love the wholewheat croissaints. 😀
Sounds like a fun vacation!
That sandwich looks like something I would totally love! I love the whole wheat croissaint. I've never seen them in whole wheat. The avocado was a great alternative to the bacon!
Mmmmm, what a beautiful looking sandwich. Croissants make any sandwich better in my opinion! Enjoy the rest of your vacation!
That's a lovely sandwich. For some reason, I can't whip up these creative combinations others seem to think up in their sleep. I start with cheese, and then I draw a blank. Odd, isn't it?
I use to travel to Williamsburg a lot for work and always had a blast. Sadly though I never could ever cook but instead was stuck eating out in restaurant after restaurant.
The sandwich looks amazing and a lot better than this bowl of cereal I am sitting here eating right now that well tastes like cardboard.
Yum-e! Anything with avocado has me from hello! Virginia is BEAUTIFUL! What a great vay-k!
A breakfast sandwich is a great idea. I usually eat cereal at my desk at work. I will have to try packing a sandwich sometime!
I must agree w/all the others, this sandwich does sound "Eggscellenet" !
That's my kind of breakfast sandwich! Yum!
Where in the world do you find whole wheat croissants? Maybe you shouldn't tell me as I would HAVE to go and buy them so I could make this!
