Homemade Tzatziki Sauce
Homemade Tzatziki is a simple Greek yogurt sauce with fresh cucumbers, lemon, garlic and dill. Use as a dip, sauce or spread.

- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup shredded cucumber
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
In a small bowl, mix together yogurt, lemon juice, cucumber, olive oil, salt garlic powder, and dill. Combine well.
Keep in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Garnish with extra fresh dill or olive oil if desired. (See notes below.)
This sauce can be made the day before and refrigerated until needed.
Whole, 2% or fat free yogurt can be used. The more the fat the more the calories but the sauce will be richer and thicker.
Fresh parsley or mint can be used instead of dill.
