Classic House Salad

This classic house salad recipe is made with fresh veggies, croutons and a zesty homemade vinaigrette dressing.

Ingredients

  • 1 small head of lettuce washed and drained
  • 8 ounces grape tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup cucumbers cut into slices
  • 1 small onion peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup croutons
  • cup shredded parmesan cheese

Dressing

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley or oregano
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt more if needed
  • ¼ ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Add lettuce in a large salad bowl. Top with tomato, cucumber and onion.
  • Prepare the dressing. In a small bowl, whisk all dressing ingredients together. Pour into the salad bowl. Toss well. Garnish with croutons and parmesan cheese.
  • Serve with your favorite main dish or top with a protein like chicken or shrimp.
