Brrrrr......it's been really cold here! All I want to do is stay in my house and eat soup, bake and watch movies. And read food blogs, of course. Unfortunately, I have to work, get my Christmas and grocery shopping done and exercise. Exercise? What's that? So to get me moving the other day, I made this creamy latte with Nutella. Nutella is good in everything, right? So why not coffee? I wonder why Dunkin Donuts or Starbucks hasn't thought of it yet?
Now for some advice for this latte. Make your own homemade whipped cream. It is easy and so much better than the canned stuff. Don't get me wrong. There is nothing wrong with canned whipped cream and my kids love it on their ice cream. But if you take a small carton of whipping cream, add a few tablespoons of some powdered sugar, a splash of vanilla and beat it all together, you will thank me. The other thing is if you don't have a frother, you might want to get one. A frother is one of those nifty kitchen tools that make you want to stay away from the $5 coffees from your coffee shop. Imagine how much you can save if you purchase this tool for under $20. This is the one I have and you can purchase it on Amazon by clicking HERE.Now go make yourself a latte! Mmmmmnnnn!
Cinnamon Nutella Latte
3 TBS Nutella
4 ounces milk (2%, 1%, whole or skim)
a dash of cinnamon
6 ounces of brewed coffee
whipped cream
In a small saucepan, heat the Nutella, milk and cinnamon together on low heat. Stir until the mixture is steaming hot. If you have a frother then go ahead and froth the milk. In a large mug, add the coffee and then the milk mixture. Top with a heaping amount of whipped cream and sprinkle with cinnamon.

Sounds fantastic! I love nutella, I love lattes, and I completely agree that homemade whipped cream is the best.

Wonderfully sinful comes to mind. I'm only sorry I didn't think of it first! Great work. Did you know that Italians kids eat Nutella like American kids eat peanut butter?

Yes, buying that little gizmo sure beats paying the $5 for a latte or cappucino at a coffee shop.

I've been waiting to see the coffee places and even cafes come up with some nutella stuff as well. You need to show them how it is done as this one sounds fabulous! Wishing you the best this holiday.

I would frequent those coffee joints so often if they had these on the menu. Why HAVEN'T they thought of this before? It takes the Mocha Latte to a new level.
BTW, what if I frothed my warm milk with my immersion blender? The frother is way cute, but space is an issue.
Leslie
Totally tummy! reminds me of my nutella hot chocolate! π
