flowersHappy Saturday to all! Just showing off the beautiful flowers my hubby got me to brighten up my week. We were married on Thanksgiving weekend and the colors remind me of my wedding flowers.

Have you started your holiday baking? Lisa from Snappy Gourmet has a slew of good cookie recipes on her blog. Check out her  Best Cookie Recipes of 2013.

chefSeveral weeks ago, I was invited to dinner at Megu Sushi in Moorestown. They have a 10 course sushi tasting menu on Wednesday nights for only $30. It was outstanding and I plan to go back soon. They also have happy hour everyday from 3pm to 6pm for $3 to $5 sushi appetizers and tapas. Here are some of the delicious courses I tasted.

salad Megu (2)This salad was the bomb. It had crabmeat, avocadoes and calamari on it with a tangy but sweet balsamic dressing.

sushi (2)They create some beautiful sushi. My camera phone didn’t do justice to the pictures but trust me as it was both gorgeous and delicious.

Another restaurant I am so excited about is Osteria Moorestown. It opened a few weeks ago and it is one of Marc Vetri’s restaurants. I was invited to the opening party and was well fed with great cocktails, appetizers and desserts. Everything was fabulous including the staff and I will be going back there for dinner with my hubby soon. Here are some of the highlights of the night. Excellent company, pizza, drinks, antipasto, cannolis, you name it!

osteria collageI loved our Thanksgiving turkey that my husband cooked on the grill but I am glad that bird is finally done. You can only eat so much turkey. I have stock in the freezer to make soup in the near future.  Have a great weekend!turkey
