Recently I was asked if I would like to host a brinner sponsored by Eggland’s Best Eggs. I will admit that I had no idea what a brinner was. With my new found egg knowledge, I now know that a brinner is having breakfast or brunch for dinner. This was easy enough for me to do as breakfast for dinner is a favorite at our house. I love eggs. They are easy to make, economical and have many health benefits. But my favorite thing about having eggs for dinner is the fact that I can make an omelet in the same amount of time it would take me to leave my house and pick up a carry out dinner from the local pizza place. It might even be as fast as going for fast food at the local drive thru. It is much healthier and less expensive of course!
The best part about the brinner was that I was able to share it with some of my local blogging friends. On the guest list were Allie from All I Eat Food and her boyfriend , Robin from South Jersey Locavore along with her husband and children and Wendy from La Phemme Phoodie.
Eggland’s Eggs sent me a nice box of goodies before the brinner and now they would like to give the same box of goodies to one of my readers. It includes :
*2 Free EB Dozen coupons (Any variety- classic, cage-free, or organic)
* 1 Free EB Hard Cooked and Peeled variety coupon
* 4 EB ramekins
* 1 EB apron
* 1 EB whisk
* 1 EB spatula
* 1 EB egg timer
* 1 EB eco bag
* 1 EB plush egg
One of my readers will be randomly picked to win these Eggland’s goodies. All you have to do is leave a comment saying what your favorite egg dish is. For an additional entry, you can like Eggland’s Best on Facebook and leave a comment saying you did. Please leave an email address if you don’t have a link to a blog. Comments must be left by Tuesday, June 28th as I will be announcing the winner on Wednesday, June 29th. You must be a US resident to enter and win.
Now back to my brinner. Here is what was on the menu:
Fruity Peach Bellinis
Deviled Eggs with Shrimp and Avocado
Arugula Salad with Champagne Vinaigrette
Assorted Grilled Brats and Sausages
Sauteed Onions and Peppers
Egg Strata (made by Allie from All I Eat Food)
Herb Baked Eggs and Cheddar Cheese Baked Eggs
Grilled Red Peppers and Asparagus
Blueberry Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream
I was so busy entertaining and running around that I did not get as many pictures as I wanted to but below are a few photos of my brinner. Come back next Wednesday and I will announce the Eggland’s Best box of goodies winner as well as share more information about eggs and the recipes that were on the menu.
**Disclaimer: These opinions are my own and I was not compensated to do this post. Eggland’s Best did send me a box of goodies mentioned in the post and paid for the groceries purchased for the brinner.
