Julie Anne’s Granola and a Yummy Parfait!

by jerseygirl on February 27, 2011 · 13 comments

This morning I thought about making a big breakfast which included eggs, pork roll and bagels. At the last moment I changed my mind due to the fact that we would be eating fresh pasta and raviolis later in the day. A light yogurt parfait fit the bill.

First let me tell you I am a granola snob. After trying Julie Anne’s Granola, I just can’t eat any dry boxed kind. Julie Anne’s Granola has the most unique flavors and there is something about eating it that makes you totally addicted. My favorite flavor is Sweet Citrus however I also love the Decadent Raspberry Truffle and the Berry Yummy PB&J granola which I added to my parfait this morning. Actually I would eat any of the flavors of Julie Anne’s Granola with or without yogurt. The best part is that you can buy this granola online or in a store in your area. CLICK HERE to check out the granola website.

I was thrilled to find beautiful strawberries in my grocery store. When I see these, I anticipate warmer weather is on the way. After the winter we had, spring can’t get here quick enough. These strawberries worked beautiful with the granola and some low fat vanilla yogurt. This parfait is easy to make and delicious for breakfast or as a snack. Oh, by the way, I mentioned my favorite granola just because I love it and think you will too!

Strawberry Yogurt Granola Parfait

6 ounces vanilla yogurt
1/4 cup granola
1/2 cup sliced strawberries

Layer the yogurt, granola and strawberries in a glass parfait cup. Top with a whole strawberry. You can vary the granola, yogurt and fruit. Mix and match to whatever you like!
