It’s a good thing I ate baked fish for dinner last night. Because this weekend I will be making up for any healthy meals I’ve had in the last week! I might sneak in some healthy snacks for the Superbowl but at the minute I’m thinking salty, crunchy, spicy and sweet. These potato chips satisfy all these cravings and they are very easy to make. You need these four ingredients:
kettle chips
good quality semi sweet chocolate or chocolate chips (I used Ghirardelli)
chipotle powder
sea salt
All you have to do is melt the chocolate (either in the microwave or double boiler) and add some chipotle powder to your liking. I like a lot! Stir it until it’s really smooth and creamy. Dip the potato chips half way in the chocolate mixture. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt. Let them rest on some wax paper until the chocolate is hard. You don’t want it all over your hands.

Now you have a yummy football watching snack. I bet you just can’t eat one. Or two or three! I also made some without the chipotle powder for the kids that don’t want a smoky spicy taste to their chocolate.
Happy Superbowl weekend!

Oh yeah! Who wouldn't love these for party food? They look delicious!
Oh, Lisa! You're trying to seduce me, aren't you? LOL! Anyone who knows me, knows that 2 of my top 3 favorite flavors on the planet are chocolate and chipotle. Now, if you could manage to work some coffee in there, you'd hit the trifecta!
Potato chips are divine on their own, but dipping them in chocolate makes them seem fancy!
Sweet and salty perfection – would be very hard to stop eating these!
I just popped over to your blog to check for a 7 layer dip recipe and found THESE! My husband is drooling, great idea!
These look delicious! Glad I found your blog, from one Jersey girl to another
These are the type of snack I can't stop eating once I start. They look wonderful. Re the nuts: you can use anything that suits your fancy and will end up with a sweetened nut butter. Have a great day and enjoy the game. Blessings…Mary
I'm not sure about this one. I guess I'd have to try them before saying I wouldn't like them.
Highly addictive. I have everything I need in my pantry so I am trying these when the kids get home…they can eat them all so I don't!
Sweet & salty goodness!
Ohh girl I have made these before..ONLY Once because I ate them ALL. Very dangerous to have around.
Okay, I think I may just try these. I've been putting them off for a long time, but I think you have convinced me to try them!
