I have Tate’s Bake Shop Goodies to Giveaway!

by jerseygirl on December 1, 2010 · 71 comments

CONTEST CLOSED

I have to confess. I did something really bad. The kind people at Tate’s Bake Shop sent me a lovely package of cookies and their cookbook. Last night after the kiddos and husband went to bed, I opened the white chocolate chip macadamia nut cookies. I ate the whole package. My intentions were only to try one or two. But once I tried the light, crispy, buttery cookies, I just couldn’t stop myself. Luckily, each box comes with two individually wrapped portions so there are a few left for the kids. Since I was so naughty, now I am going to do something nice. It’s holiday giveaway time! One of my readers will win a gift pack from Tate’s Bake Shop which includes a box each of chocolate chip, oatmeal, and white chocolate macadamia nut cookies along with a signed copy of their cookbook.
If you haven’t already heard of Tate’s Bake Shop, they have the reputation of being the best bakery in the Hamptons. Kathleen King, the bake shop’s founder, has been in the business for over 40 years. She first started selling cookies at her family’s farm stand when she was 11 years old. The bakery has come a long way since then and has been recognized by Everyday with Rachael Ray Magazine, The New York Times, The New York Post and the Wall Street Journal. New Yorkers love this bakery and their crisp buttery cookies!

I have been browsing through the cookbook and pondering over what to bake first. It is filled with classic desserts like blueberry buckle, gingerbread and flourless chocolate cake. There are also recipes for muffins, cookies and cinnamon bread. Kathleen’s intention is for the reader to make a dessert in less time than it takes to go to the grocery store to buy it. Now that’s my kind of cookbook!

Now how can you win this giveaway? All you have to do is leave me a comment. For an extra chance to win, become a fan of Tate’s Bake Shop on Facebook and leave a comment saying you did so. This contest will close on Saturday, December 4th at 11:59 pm PST. I will pick a random winner and will announce the winner sometime on Monday. Sorry but this prize can only be mailed to a US address. Please leave an email address with your comment if you do not have a blog.

Even if you do not win, you can still order some delicious baked goods or the cookbook at www.tatesbakeshop.com. Better yet, you can get 15% off of any order between now and December 31, 2010. Just use the discount code “cookie” when placing your order.

Good luck!

I think it's impossible to eat just one cookie! I made sugar cookes tonight with my daughter – and even though she professed to not liking them, I ended up sneaking more than two. Or three.

Pam December 6, 2010 at 12:58 pm

I received some of their cookies – they are so buttery and delicious.
