The recipe was supposed to make a huge three layer cake but I felt two layers was enough and used the extra batter to make a dozen cupcakes. I also melted some white chips for a decoration on top of the cake and cupcakes. The cake got great reviews and I loved the moist, chocolaty, but not too sweet cupcakes. The stout definitely cut some of the sweetness and it smelled wonderful while baking. This will probably be my new GO TO chocolate cake!
