Peanut Butter Rice Crispy Treats

by jerseygirl on November 23, 2009 · 20 comments

While most of the bloggersphere is posting pre Thanksgiving recipes such as sweet potato casseroles, turkey gravy, delicious looking biscuits and flaky pies I  have not decided on my menu yet. I know the hubby will be taking care of the turkey on the grill so now  it’s up to me to decide on antipasto, sides and desserts. So many good blogs to get recipes off of but so little time before Thanksgiving! So while all of you were doing the prep I was making treats to please the kiddos. And pleased they were. If you would like to make this classic treat just click here. I took the recipe right off of Allrecipes website.

And if you have any good  Thanksgiving recipes that you can’t live without, please let me know about it!

I just saw a blog entry about a rice krispie treat wedding cake, and the blogger was mentioning how many variations there could be – including peanut butter!

I have never tried rice krispies with peanut butter. I think it would give them an added bonus.

I will be featuring some recipes tomorrow on Thanksgiving.

I like how you went non-thanksgiving route on this. I look at something like this and just go back to being a kid… just like the holidays!

Ok almost everyday 🙂
