A Souper Giveaway

by jerseygirl on January 11, 2009 · 65 comments

Right now I am relaxing and basking in the Eagles win. It gives us another week of football and of course, more football food. I am already planning a green drink I can serve for our Superbowl party. Hopefully the Eagles won’t let us down next week.

Last month, I received some Go Appetit Cool Soups. I was a little hesitant to try these. Cold soup in a drink form? Yes, I tried these and they were smooth and delicious. It was the perfect mid morning or afternoon snack. Even my daughter loved the soups. They are only 100 calories and packed with antioxidants. There are two flavors of Mango Spice and Rich Vegetable Gazpacho.

Now you know I love to cook. So I can make my own drinkable soups, right? First I can wash and clean a bunch of veggies. Then I can put them in the food processor. After that I will clean out the food processor, using my little toothbrush to get all the tomato skins out of the cracks. Gather some containers to put the soup in. Wrong size, so now it’s time to clean out the containers. Ooops, a spill. Get our doggie to lick the floor. Gather some more containers. I am exhausted and it’s time to pick up my children. Why don’t I buy some Go Apetit soups and save the cooking for dinner? Seriously though, I really enjoyed these soups and love the cool containers they came in.

Lucky for you, you can get some of your own Go Appetit soups. And right now Go Apetit is giving away a portable soup gift pack which includes a Tshirt and tote to one of my readers. All you have to do is leave me a comment letting me know what you have overindulged in over the holidays. This contest closes on Tuesday at 11pm EST. Please leave me an email address if you do not have a blog link. I will pick a winner by random drawing on Wednesday.

Go E-A-G-L-E-S and Go Appetit!

Janice January 11, 2009 at 11:57 pm

Hi Lisa !!! WOW… I’m so curious about these drinkable soups and I’m thrilled to have just “discovered” your blog.

Ravens fan here… would be wonderful to have an Eagles/Ravens SuperBowl but we have to get past those darn Steelers again….

thanks for offering a give-away

Barbara Bakes January 11, 2009 at 11:59 pm

These sound interesting! I over induldged on chocolate over the holidays!

carogonza January 12, 2009 at 12:07 am

Sugar. In every form. I had chocolate, cookies, cakes, soda, gummy bears etc. etc. etc.

Janice January 12, 2009 at 12:10 am

Oh My… me again…. I didn’t follow directions and tell you how I indulged over the holidays….

Made chocolate chips cookies twice, egg nog… egg nog… egg nog…. just plain but frequently.

Continued to over-indulge through last week’s start of The Biggest Loser and Oprah’s emotional “fell off the wagon” show.

Healthy in a bottle – Sounds like just what I need !!!

Emily January 12, 2009 at 12:14 am

I overindulged on cookies! There were so many this holiday and I think I tried about every kind.

Proud Italian Cook January 12, 2009 at 12:28 am

I should have had healthy soup, instead I ate wayyyyy to many cookies!

Gloria January 12, 2009 at 12:32 am

I believe I went overboard on Pumpkin Bread…I just love that stuff! 🙂

Celeste January 12, 2009 at 12:33 am

I ate way too much chocolate FUDGE…I mean, I only make it during Christmas time – so I guess it’s my fault for ‘depriving myself’ of it – then eating tons of it once December comes.

contact me at:

Chloe January 12, 2009 at 12:34 am

I definitely ate too many cookies!

Karin January 12, 2009 at 1:42 am

mikky January 12, 2009 at 3:34 am

hey, these are good finds… 🙂

Plowlady January 12, 2009 at 5:41 am

this year was too thin around here to over indulge in ANYTHING, but in my dreams…it was cupcakes and cookies@

on a different note, do you want to know how nifty this would be for us? We have Ramen soup often around here and I send hubs off with a thermos of it that I doctor up in so many different ways to change the pace of things…well, he keeps telling me how he wants to eat healthier when we’re able to, how cool would it be for me to send him off with this kind of soup instead of heating the thermos and coming up with ANOTHER soup idea?! oh wow…that would be so cool to see his face with this one.

Great giveaway!

I ate so many cookies. I baked a lot in November, froze the cookies, and taped the tins shut. Well, I used a knife to cut the tape and ate tons of cookies before Christmas even got here. I feel sick!

Katherine Aucoin January 12, 2009 at 9:46 am

Hmmm confession time huh? What I won’t do for a prize. I got way too crazy on olive dip and cheese crackers. I am happy to report that I have lost 5lbs. since Christmas.

kat January 12, 2009 at 10:58 am

Allie January 12, 2009 at 11:47 am

Can’t wait to try them….

Oh and Lisa…. Patti from GO Appetit said it was exciting to read your blog…

Wonderful January 13, 2009 at 7:12 pm

I WAY overinduldged in desserts! We have Thanksgiving and Christmas over at my house and my sister always makes the desserts and there is always leftovers because everyone is usually stuffed from all the food and only a few eat the dessert…So with all the leftovers here…for the next few days I am on a dessert diet…lol…She made some delicious cheese cake with cherries on top for Christmas…YUM!
