We Have a Winner and a Gingerbread House

Sorry about the late post today. I had meant for this to go up early in the morning but I had a sick seven year old and that demanded some attention. So to announce the winners of the Home For the Holidays Pillsbury baskets……………………………….

number 42 Marigold (boldnessbe)
number 16 Susan (msumommie)

Congratulations ladies! Please email me your address and the baskets will be sent out. Thanks to Pillsbury and Myblogspark for making this happen. If you didn’t win, don’t cry. I will have another giveaway later this week.

I also wanted to show you the picture of our gingerbread house we worked on yesterday. This is an accomplishment for me! I am by no means crafty or artsy, so putting this together is a big task. My daughter did a lot of the work and she is the creative one. As you can see, we used a Wilton kit. I would recommend this to any craft challenged person like myself. If I had to attempt making my own house without a kit, there would be trouble.

How fun!

I remember when I was a little girl we did this once at my parent’s house with both sets of grandparents and great aunts and uncles and cousins. It was so much fun!

My brother and I are both in our twenties and we make gingerbread houses every year! I’m sure it is a tradition we’ll share with our own kids someday.

Quiche, enchiladas, cheese steak, give aways, cute kids…you have been a busy girl. Since I am back on dial up I have a heck of a time loading your blog to the post part most of the time. Anyways everything sounds and looks great. I am still impressed with the healthy part, I just always add butter.

knock on wood I have avoided getting sick so far this year. The house looks so cute! I’ve never made one so it’s on my list to try this year if I have time.

I’m with you on the artsy stuff…I’m so challenged!! I may pick up that kit for the kids, I’ve seen it around. They would love it!

What a gorgeous gingerbread house … definitely one of those things I’ve yet to attempt but I’m sure my six-year-old would love to do one.

I make a gingerbread house every year with my Granddaughter, from a kit I get at Costco. It’s our little tradition. Yours looks great!

We just finished a gingerbread house too…what a messy project but so much fun. My kids ate more candy than they put on the house. You guys did a great job – it looks so cute.
